On May 1st each year, Padstow heralds
the coming of summer with its 'Obby ' From dawn until dusk, the rival Red and Blue 'Osses
cavort with revellers, to the beat of primeval drums. Padstow holds its own Summer Carnival in August, as
do many other local towns and villages, such as St.Columb, St. Merryn and St.
Issey. For photos of the 2005 Obby |

But Padstow is a town for all seasons. Why not visit during the Autumn

centrally heated, although it is very rare that Jack Frost's bite is felt in
this part of the world. Padstow's Christmas lights and harbour display are
becoming increasingly popular, and are switched on early in December. |
